Requirements for filing a patent application

• A simply signed Power of Attorney, this can be filed after filing the application (We shall provide you the same after receiving your instructions).
• A declaration signed by the inventor/s or a notarized copy of the assignment from the inventor/s to the applicant/s is to be filed within 6 months of filing the application to avoid petition.
• In case of National Phase application under PCT, International Application number, title of the invention, applicant/s in India, amendments filed, if any, to the International Application; if International Application or WIPO Publication is not in English, certified /notarized English translation thereof is required.
• Details of corresponding patent applications filed in other countries in respect of the same or substantially same invention and note that these details should be given on an ongoing basis within 6 months of filing an application in any country to avoid payment of late fee. 

Notes

• No documentation is mandatory at the time of filing a patent application in our country.
• All documents should be in English; otherwise certified English translations are required. The cost for translation can be provided only upon receiving the specification/documents.
• The Request for Examination has to be filed within forty-eight months from the date of the priority.
